Hi everyone
Please find attached three letters about the reopening of the church, one from Wil+,(St John’s Covid)
one from +Anne, (Anne’s Letter)
the Metropolitan and one from +Andrew, (Andrew’s Letter)
our bishop. Unfortunately we still have no firm date for reopening. The letters explain what’s happening in the province, diocese and church and the thoughts behind the decision.

Sunday Service – July 12

Hi everyone
Hope you’ve all had a great week and kept out of the heat and humidity. Hopefully it will break soon!
Just a quick note: The diocese has let us know that, if all goes as planned, we will be allowed to resume services on September 13th…with certain limitations. This is a tentative date and may change but gives us something to look forward to.
The service can be found on youtube here: https://youtu.be/yvztxp6VNdk
The music and readings are attached and the service is the modern Morning Prayer.
Have a great week.

St. John’s Social Distancing Walkathon

This note is from Gail…Our social distancing walkathon is over. During the period of May 15 – June 15, a team of dedicated people walked as they usually do to keep active and logged the distance they walked each week. We learned a little bit of history about each location we “reached” each week. Our goal was to “reach” St. John’s NL….& we succeeded.

According to Mapquest, St. John’s NL is 2864 km from Whitby (assuming we didn’t need to walk the 177 km while we were virtually on the ferry) Our team walked 2895 km.

I am very pleased at the level of enthusiasm from all the participants and sponsors. Through sponsorship of our walkers we have raised $3748.00 for St. John’s general operating expenses.
Thanks to everyone who walked &/or donated. What a team!!

Hope everyone enjoys their summer. Take care & stay well.

Gail
